Amadeus' Clark's (Alabama)
Looking for William S. "Bunk" Clarke b. Oct. 1873 in Barbour Co. AL, married to Fannie Holland b. 1872 in Barbour Co.
AL. Their children were: Joseph, Daisy, Julia, Effie b. 1901, married James Elisa Champion b. 1895, John, Bennie, Jesse. Also
does anyone have any info on Elizabeth (Holland?) Clarke, age unknown. In the 1870 census in Barbour Co. AL she
appears to be living with her children Ann & William 8/12 months, born in Oct., with William & Lucy Holland. Even though the
dates are slightly off, could William S. be the same as William the son of Elizabeth? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Suzanna.

Multiple State Connections

Chris's Clark's (California, Colorado, Iowa, New York)
I have a great grandfather Cornelius Clark, whose brother was William. "Con" or CC was born in Utica, NY, was known to
have owned property in Iowa and moved on to Colorado. He and William married sisters, the Grahams, and lived for years in
the are of Johnstown and Berthoud, CO. CC did live in California, died here, but was buried back in Berthoud. I have done
extensive genealogy on my father's side but not much on my mother's, that is next on my list. Could it be that we connect?
Perhaps, your William was the father of "my" CC and William????? If it even sounds possible to you, let me know and I will
dig up what I have and we can compare notes further. My grandmother, Cornelia Elizabeth Clark, was born on Nov. 30,
1896, and I believe that her father, CC died in Long Beach, CA, in about the 1920's. I live in Southern California and my
motheris still alive at 79 next week! Maybe, we can help each other in this pursuit. Best regards,Chris.

October 3, 1843, Asher Myers dedicated a little over an acre of land for a Methodist Church in Lincoln Co., TN. Trustee
were Moses Clark, Baker W. Ayers, Matthew Carithers and Redden W. Mattox. Clark was evidently the preacher but no
record of the church has ever been found, not even in Tennessee Methodist records. The acre was on the west side of
Leatherwood Creek.--- also found an old biographical of McLennan, Falls, Bell and Coryell Counties, Texas and in it was an
article on a Moses Clark who was a grandson of Moses of LCT. (son of Silas & Martha Swain Clark, b 1835). "Grandfather
Moses Clark was one of the very earliest pioneers of LCT. He helped cut out the first road in the county. He was a farmer and
a Methodist preacher, passed the rest of his day in the county he helped develop and dies there." Silas & family moved to Bell
Co., TX in 1854. Moses Clark ( son of Silas Clark, son of Moses Clark) moved to Coryell Co., in 1870 4 miles north of
Gatesville, owned 2,000 A of land. One of his five children was names Green Ayers Clark. ( Baker W. Ayers had a brother
named Green L. Ayers) In 1841 Baker W Ayers purchased from Moses Clark 207 A of land on Bradshaw Creek. There is a
record of a marriage between a Baker Ayers and an Elizabeth "Betsy" West in 1834 LCT. Bakers oldest son Leroy Green
Ayers was born 1827 LCT. The name of the wife of Baker came from the biography of Bakers youngest son Alvin A Ayers.

Amy's Clark's (Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina)
My William McGregor's wife is said to have been Permelia Clark - I don't have any other information on her personally and
would like to find her. William McGregor would have been b. c.1772. He would have been married c. 1795 in either NC or
SC. The family moved from SC to KY between Mar. of 1812 and Mar of 1818. Their children were: John (1796-1863),
Samuel (1798-1851), William (1799-1830), James (1804-1865), Moses (1805-1860), Mary "Polly"
(1809-1865), and Dison (1812-1888). Does this sound familiar to anyone or is anyone missing a Permelia Clark who they
don't know what happened to? Other linked families are Franklin (of NC and SC), Davis, and possible Chappel. Thanks, Amy
Ann.
